Breathe. Yoga. Community.

We’re just that… believing those three things, when brought together in a unique, comfortable environment, can bring peace and calmness to our hectic, 24/7, always-on lives. An ability to be in the present, even if for just a moment. To pair the mind and the body together in a way that heals what the day has taken from us. We want our students to feel part of something more than just a class. And to leave feeling refreshed, recharged, and able to simply… breathe.

I started my journey practicing yoga in 2017. Growing up in Jerome, Idaho as a multi-sport athlete, I found that the sports I grew up playing led to a life full of activity and structure and a solid base for my future, realizing almost immediately that yoga was an amazing compliment to my personal and professional life. In 2019-2020, my father became terminally ill after many years of struggling health, and I spent many days traveling back and forth to my hometown to visit him. During that time, a high school friend invited me to join her at a local hot yoga class to leave the stress for an hour and just BREATHE. I was hooked, and yoga became an integral part of my emotional support system during this time due its spiritual and detoxifying nature.

In 2021, I decided I wanted to further my practice and bring hot yoga to Pocatello. I attended the Pure Yoga Instructor Training Program in The Dalles, Oregon where I certified as a 200HR RYT. Upon completion the fire burned even stronger. So I decided to take the next leap and open my own studio, desiring to build a YOGA COMMUNITY committed to introduce yoga to new students, while still challenging and growing experienced students… affordably. I truly believe an inclusive and supportive yoga community can benefit not only individuals, but also our broader society, in so many positive ways.

I’m a married mother to two very active boys, and friend to many! When not practicing yoga, I love simply chasing my boys in their activities, hiking, biking, wine tasting, and spending time with friends and family.

My name is Kayla Marie Armstrong. I was born on September 26, 1991, and I am the oldest of 5 kids with family roots in Pocatello. I went to Pocatello High School my sophomore year, and ultimately graduated from Hurricane High School in Utah after my family relocated.

After graduating from high school, I earned my Masters

Esthetician License. Upon completion of this program, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and worked at a day spa. Eventually, I moved back to Utah and started an eyelash extension business. While I building my clientele in lash extensions, I started practicing yoga. I fell in love with it from the first class I took in 2010.

Pursuing my passion of yoga, I became certified in 2014 with my 200HR RYT in St. George, Utah. The yoga studio I practiced at also offered Pilates and Barre classes which I also love.  Within a year, I was certified to teach Hot Pilates and Barefoot Barre. I have taught in several studios all over Utah, and I have also had the opportunity to teach in Maui at Maui Hot Yoga. To my great fortune, I am honored to be back in Pocatello so many years later to teach at Breathe.

I enjoy helping healthcare workers find joy, inner peace, and resilience, even while facing extreme demands. Yoga practices such as breathing, awareness, and meditation all help while facing life’s storms and preventing burn out.

My yoga philosophy is to work on strengthening emotional, mental and physical resilience. Through yoga, I am able to utilize these practices and recognize the unique synergies as people come together to connect and practice. I love meeting people where they are and strive to leave my students with a sense of self-worth while reminding them that they are perfect just how they are.

Over 20 years ago, I stepped onto a yoga mat for the first time. In that second as my feet touched the mat, I didn't know how much it would profoundly impact my life. Before that moment, I had spent 6 years of my life in and out of a hospital bed in pain, ill, feeling defeated, lost, not knowing how to heal my body. When I stepped onto that mat, I was ready to receive. It opened my eyes to a whole new life of healing connection to my body, mind, and soul. I fell in love immediately with this lifelong practice. I made a vow to myself at that moment that I would be a student of yoga, deepen my practice, and certify one day so that I could share my passion with others. I have been teaching fitness now since 2016. I am Power Yoga certified with Core Power Yoga as well as Lagree Fitness Pilates certified. I strive to create a fun and well rounded class that will leave you empowered and accomplished. Come flow with me!

DeAnna Willis

Hello, I'm DeAnna. I love Barre! I fell in love with Barre in 2018 and became certified with Barre Above in 2020.

Idaho is my home, and I love everything that it has to offer! I passionate about the outdoors and have always been very active. I have been a ballet student for most of my life, and played multiple sports throughout my school years. Group fitness fulfills many needs and particularly provide support in so many ways.

I started my Barre journey in 2016 shortly after having my daughter. Group fitness became my stress relief, my social hour, and my time to help me fill strong and to love myself again!

When I was younger, I dreamed of teaching dance at a studio. That dream has been fulfilled through Barre. Barre is a combination of dance, strength training, sports, yoga, and Pilates. Everything that I enjoy! I hope my classes can bring as much happiness to you as it continues to do for me.

I am Tonya Terry, wife to my husband of 35 years, and a mother of two. My entire career has been devoted to teaching, where I began as an elementary teacher, and have recently retired from English Learner teaching. I find the most joy spending time with my family and friends, walking with my dogs, getting outside in nature, and teaching yoga to children as well as adults.

Yoga and mindful meditation have been a part of my daily practice for 24 years. I fell in love with the mind, body, soul connection, and the healing power of these two practices. This led me to complete my training and receive my yoga certification in 2017.

When tragedy struck my family with the death of my son, I found that I needed something more to help on my journey to healing. Emotions that accompany grief, loss, and trauma become stuck in our bodies. I found grief yoga and received my grief yoga teacher certification in June of 2022. I want to share this unique practice with others who may be struggling. Yoga for grief and loss uses different forms of yoga, movement, breath, and sound to transform pain and struggle into empowerment and love. I strive to create a safe space to help my students become more present, get in touch with their pain, move it, and channel their grief in empowering ways. Join me for a class unlike any other!
